
Northwoods Events June 12-13

On June 12 and 13, area library patrons and community members will receive early access to River Gold, the highly anticipated fifth book in Wisconsin author Jeff Nania’s award-winning Northern Lakes Mystery series, which is set to release June 24.
The events are free and open to the public. No registration is required. Nania’s books are ready for checkout at each library and signed copies will be available to purchase at the events:
June 12 at 5:30 PM: “Author Talk with Jeff Nania” at the Rhinelander Public Library in partnership with JC Weddle Books. Learn more.
June 13 at 10:00 AM: “Coffee and Donuts with the Author” at the Minocqua Public Library in partnership with The Shade Tree.
June 13 at 3:00 PM: “Meet the Author” at the Fred Smith Center at Wisconsin Concrete Park in Phillips in partnership with the Phillips Public Library and Cabin Creations. Learn more.
Each event will feature a conversation with the acclaimed author about his careers in law enforcement and conservation and his Northern Lakes Mystery series. The first four books in Nania’s series—Figure Eight (2019), Spider Lake (2020), Bough Cutter (2021), Musky Run (2023) have each won prestigious awards, and the series as a whole, which takes place in Wisconsin’s great Northwoods, has been recognized twice for best mystery fiction series.
